The History of Miseducation and the African American Church
First Province
The History of Miseducation and the African American Church is designed as a nine-month guided educational experience, meeting on the second Friday of each month for two hours. Each session examines biblical, historical, theological, and cultural information often misrepresented, misunderstood, overlooked, or omitted from traditional education. The curriculum encourages participants not simply to accept information, but to examine sources, ask critical questions, compare historical narratives, and pursue a fuller understanding of African and African American history.
