Welcome to the Incardination Process

This application is for those who desire to be ordained to Holy Orders in Apostolic Succession within the Holy Communion of Churches.

Process Overview (12 Steps):

  1. Submit a formal Petition for Candidacy for Holy Orders to the Diocesan Bishop or Provincial Archbishop.
  2. Complete this Application Information Profile and pay the $200 administration fee.
  3. Sign and date the Affirmations and Declarations on the application.
  4. Complete the Prospective Clergy Theological Survey.
  5. Send completed application with supporting documents to the Administrative Office.
  6. Send a narrative summary of your sense of call and reason for affiliation.
  7. Have references submit Letters of Recommendation to HCOC.
  8. A clergy interviewer will be assigned; a decision will follow.
  9. You will be informed and issued a Letter of Acceptance to Candidacy.
  10. Upon acceptance, submit required supplemental documents.
  11. A clergy Mentor will be assigned for the formation/ordination process.
  12. An education and formation program will be developed for you.
Important: Please have ready copies of educational diplomas, certificates, baptism/confirmation records, and two recent photos. The $200 application fee is required for processing.
